Not because I had anything entred this year…stupidly missed the deadline…but because, yet again, an Eskimo Blue student had a piece of work selected. ‘Simon, Kiss Me Quick’ was the fine work of Sienna Griffen Shaw of the 11 plus pottery class. I bumped into Sienna as I was heading for a glass of wine (it had been a long day). She bounced about with a twinkle in her eye and a wide grin “Simon is sold!” she declared. A very proud moment and I did feel more than a tad emotional. I felt very lucky to be there and to be able to share in her excitement.

It turned out that ‘Simon’ was the first piece in the entire exhibition to have a little red dot by him. Can’t get much more of a compliment than that!

Looking forward to next years event. I think it’s much more fun when one of the students have their work in the Open than when I have mine in it. A good day. Well done Sienna!

It’s that time of year again where I wish that I could magically grow another pair of hands. Christmas tree decoration making is in full swing.

Athough we still have the red polka dot hearts (very popular at last years Clarendon Park Christmas fair!) there are some new pretty ceramic creations to pop on your tree. Please remember that ceramic hearts are not just for Christmas, they can hang around all year!

The Studio is in the process of a major re-organisation in preparation for this new online selling milarky and quite frankly I’m pretty chuffed.

Will be posting regular updates on what is going on in the pottery studio. Crafty little finds, arty little finds, quirky little finds, pretty much any little finds that I like and think that you peeps might like too.
