Pottery Parties Eskimo Blue is delighted to be able to offer children's pottery parties for children aged 8 and over. Please enquire if some of your party will be younger than this as in certain circumstances we can accommodate younger children, usually requiring an adult to stay and assist.

Parties must be for 5 children minimum and a maximum of 10, unless choosing the throwing party, where the minimum is 5 children and the maximum is 7. Parties can be booked for Saturday or Sunday mornings or afternoons, or occasionally weekdays, during school holidays. Give your child the opportunity to get creative in a real pottery studio. Making something special from a lump of clay is a remarkable thing and gives the kids the opportunity to make truly individual pieces to treasure forever. A choice of making a jewellery/secret box, a handmade mug, a whistling bird or a door name plate...or even a potters wheel session! Prices vary depending on the number of children with a maximum of 8 children. Click here for pricing 2010 Half way through the session the children will come down into the gallery and have drinks and biscuits, all included in the price, then we will return to the studio to continue with the creativity.

| Handmade mug - 2 hour session | |||
| This party is suitable for age 8 and above. The children will make their very own mug from clay and decorate it with stamps and paints. The finished mug will then be fired and ready for collection a week later. | |||
| Whistling bird - 2 hour session | |||
| This party is more suited to children over 8. The children will make a clay ocarina that really whistles. They will be able to personalise their bird with paints then they will be glazed and fired ready for collection the following week. | |||
| Door Name Plate - 2 hour session | |||
Suitable for children aged 8 plus. Make and decorate your very own door sign. Use a variety of techniques to decorate a personalised door plate. Be as creative as you like. The sky's the limit!! .

| Jewellery Box - 2 hour session | |||
Make a secret lidded box for jewellery or ...secrets! Decorate with stamps and brush on glazes, any design you choose. The box will then be fired ready for collection the following week.

Potters Wheel Sessions -2 hours |

| A fun session for small groups of children. Maximum of 7 children. | |||
After a throwing demonstration the children will then take turns, fully supervised and assisted, at throwing on the potters wheel. Children get to make and decorate their own thrown pot. Maybe a mug...maybe a flower pot...maybe a bowl. They will also make a pot stand for their thrown piece to stand on, so that they are kept busy for the whole session. The children will allow their pieces to dry slightly, whilst enjoying a drink in the gallery downstairs.
